Founded in Munich in 2009, Nails On A Neck developed their blend of hard riffs, expressive vocals, piano elements and electronic textures early on. Their debut album Crossing Lines (2019) marked their first major milestone and shaped the sound they would continue to build on.
After a four-year break, the band returned in 2023 with All Around You. The comeback single arrived together with a 360° music video—their most demanding and ambitious project so far. It marked a fresh start and a renewed sense of direction.
In 2024, the band became more active online and released “Moonlight,” a song loosely inspired by the Marvel series Moon Knight. As the writing progressed, more of drummer Danyal’s personal emotions shaped the track, giving it a deeper and more intimate tone.
2025 brought new creative impulses. The two-track single Between the Silence—featuring “Lost in the Noise” and “Fading Echoes”—was inspired by an AI error that wrongly assumed the songs already existed in their catalog. Later that year came “Empty Garden,” based on guitarist Sinan’s dream of wandering through an empty zoo. The imagery led to a song that feels raw, more rock-driven and quietly melancholic.
They closed the year with “Ascension,” a track that begins with electronic elements before rising into a powerful rock finale—showcasing the band’s ongoing evolution and their drive to experiment.
